Cookie Policy

Last updated: May 2026  |  Bright Impact LTD

1. What Cookies Are

Cookies are small text files placed on your device by websites you visit. They help the site remember your choices and measure how it is being used. Similar technologies — such as browser local storage and session storage — serve comparable purposes and are covered by this policy. No images or executable files are placed by our cookies.

2. Why We Use Cookies

We use cookies and local-storage entries to keep Bright Impact running smoothly, to remember your preferences (such as whether you have dismissed the cookie banner or confirmed your age), and to understand in aggregate how visitors navigate the Lumière Quarter. This helps us improve the experience without collecting personally identifying information.

3. Categories of Cookies We Use

CategoryPurposeExamplesDuration
Strictly necessary Keep the site operational; store age-gate confirmation and cookie-consent choice. No consent required. __age_ok, __cc_v1 Session to 12 months
Performance / analytics Anonymous traffic measurement via Cloudflare Web Analytics. No IP logging. Set only with consent. __cf_bm Up to 30 days
Functional Remembers UI preferences such as volume settings and animation choices. Set only with consent. Local-storage keys prefixed bi_pref_ Up to 12 months
Advertising / targeting When a visitor arrives via a paid campaign (e.g. Google Ads or Microsoft Advertising), third-party advertising cookies may be set. These are only activated with your consent. Third parties: Google (cookie policy) and Microsoft Advertising (privacy statement). Google: _gcl_au, _gclid; Microsoft: _uetmsclkid Up to 13 months

4. Lawful Basis

We are subject to the EU General Data Protection Regulation (RGPD, règlement (UE) 2016/679), the French Data Protection Act (loi Informatique et Libertés) as supervised by the CNIL, and French ePrivacy rules under the LCEN following CNIL cookie guidance. Strictly necessary cookies are set on the basis of legitimate interest — they are essential and cannot be refused. All other cookie categories are only set with your freely given, prior, specific, and informed consent. You may withdraw consent at any time by clearing your cookie preferences as described below.

5. How to Manage Your Cookies on Bright Impact

When you first visit the site, our cookie banner offers you the choice to "Accept all" or "Essential only". Your choice is stored in the browser key __cc_v1. To change your mind later, you can clear that local-storage entry via your browser's developer tools, or simply clear all site data for brighttimpact.com — the banner will reappear on your next visit.

6. How to Manage Cookies in Your Browser

Every major browser lets you view, restrict, or delete cookies. Follow the links below for step-by-step guidance:

7. Third-Party Cookies and Services

When you consent, cookies from the following third parties may be present on our site:

  • Cloudflare — provides our CDN, DDoS protection, and anonymous Web Analytics. Cloudflare's cookies (__cf_bm) are security-related and may be set regardless of consent as part of the strictly necessary category. See Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.
  • Google — advertising cookies are set only if you arrived via a Google Ads campaign and consented. See Google's Ads Policy.
  • Microsoft Advertising — advertising cookies are set only if you arrived via a Microsoft Ads campaign and consented. See Microsoft's Privacy Statement.

8. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control

We honour the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal. If your browser sends a GPC header, we treat it as a withdrawal of consent for analytics and advertising cookies, and only strictly necessary cookies are set. We do not currently respond to the older DNT (Do Not Track) header, as it has no agreed technical standard and has largely been superseded by GPC.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time as our practices or the applicable law change. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Significant changes will be communicated via the on-site cookie banner.
